About US

Hi, I’m Amber, I’ve been rocking life in the events industry for over 15 years along with bringing up 3 energetic sons with my Husband.  It's fair to say life is busy, but I love it.

Queue flashback and old-time music I come from a small town called Otaki on the beautiful Kapiti Coast, but once finishing school I decided to venture out and  I left to study in Dunedin and a few years later returned home with a degree  ‘Hospitality and Tourism Management’

I was lucky enough to walk straight into a role at the hotel formally known as the Duxton Hotel in Wellington. Supervising events alongside their events department.  There was ample variety, the opportunity to meet some amazing people while being in a role which enabled me to grow.  It really was at this point that I knew I had found my calling.  I quickly became an Events Co-Ordinator and won the coveted title of ‘Employee of the year’, later becoming Team Leader of the department.  Go ME!  I loved everything events especially dealing with large corporate dinners, conferences and weddings.

Slight change of direction in a career path once I decided to become a Mum.  I took some time out to concentrate on having some family time – coffee mornings and playgroup hangouts were the limit of my social capacity. It wasn’t until after baby number two had blessed us with his presence that I decided to do some part-time work for a local Kapiti venue.  This is really where my ability to juggle a multitude of tasks was put to the test.  This led to a further opportunity, after bringing home angel number three, to work as part of an established Event Design Company as their Event Manager.  It was a fun-filled 3 and a half years travelling the Country managing large corporate events and product launches for well-known car companies.  It was fast-paced, a little stressful, but oh my goodness I was loving it.  I built some amazing relationships with my teammates, suppliers, AV and lighting teams, venue staff from several cities and some fabulous clients.

After losing my Mum late in 2019 I decided I need to do what I love and do something for myself, I’m going out to ‘wham bam’ the events industry.  Doing what I love, making memories for clients and above all making Mum proud.  I’ve got this Mum!
